Man that was a good one! I even clicked the external link which, like most, I typically politely skip and never admit it.

I can relate this to cultural differences. They're not something you can go to another land and be "I do it like this, not like that." It doesn't work that way, as you say, wasting time. You have to accept and bend immediately or else plan on eating shit on the bike.

Tipping. That's one. My culture tips everyone everywhere cuz busniess owners in my land are allowed to pay their employees shit wages, therefor us patrons/consumers are taught to tip to increase the employees wage to something livable. By the second time I had my tip returned to me and the young Irish teenager said "in my country, we earn a decent wage and don't rely on tips, thank you" and gave my pounds back to me, I adjusted! Balance. No more tipping—noted!

Alright I think I'm far enough off subject now with this novel length response but one more thing, the new tricks one. I say: 'Can't teach old tricks to new dogs.'
