Flow definitely looks like she has that border collie in her. When it was in 6th grade a girl named Jodie gave me a collie. Rocky, he looked like Lassie. Super sharp. I bet Flow knows English. Rub'er ears for me.

No kill shelters work a little differently than animal shelters whose animals' days are numbered. Example: A shelter picks up a dog with puppies but doesn't have extra room.

Well, a no kill will have a list of foster parents on hand. Without people willing to open their homes less than a month to a strange dog, they can't say yes to the puppies. Once they get them, they spay/neuter, chip, de-worm, etc so that month is when they're healing from surgery—"fostering."

Once they're healed, return, and off they go. Puppies are the easiest. Big dogs work the same way, just obviously the foster needs a bigger home.
