Well let's just say if you don't believe in climate change and that the human species is playing an active role in it there's not much common ground we can agree on.

There are things we cause yes, BUT they are used as an excuse from the rulling class to control people, similar as religon was adopted by the state in the purpose of control. Its a story old as time.

As for the other things, not sure what would be the thing we can mesure and say things are better or worst. As for example India is now the country with the largest population on earth. Can we say humanity improved if in two years India has higher GDP than now? This just as an example. What would be a mesarable mettric to monitor?
