Is this my Destiny?
I played the hell out of Destiny 2 when it first came out back in 2017. I can remember spending many nights staying up until 5 am playing raids and Crucible with my friends from work. Back then, I worked the night shift and the people I worked with were just as excited to get home and start grinding some Destiny 2 as I was. The game was so much fun with a solid group of friends who knew how to communicate to win.
I stopped playing Destiny 2 sometime during 2018. I had grown tired of it and moved on to other games. When I got my PS5 in November of 2020, there was also an upgraded next-gen version of Destiny 2 available. The game is now free to play and includes loads of content, including many paid cosmetics and a battle pass. None of those things felt like a reason to jump back into the game, so I never played the PS5 version.
For some reason, recently I got the urge to jump back into Destiny 2. I had become overly curious as to how the game played on PS5, plus I had been playing a lot of FPS titles recently, I was in the mood for more. I downloaded and jumped in for the first time in about 3 years. The menus looked similar, yet also vastly different than before. So many new things have been added to the game and it was pretty overwhelming to remember what I once knew so well.
Upon watching the intro cutscenes for the latest season, I was dropped into a single-player mission. I had to play through that before I was able to get into the multiplayer. So in this video, you will be watching me play through that solo mission. You will also hear my initial thoughts about the game. You can look out for more Destiny 2 videos coming soon, those will be focused on my first few Crucible matches. I hope that you will come back to see more very soon.
Thanks for checking out my video 😎🤝
