More than just cool music and art 🎶😲🖼️

I played the demo for Scarlet Nexus when it was first released way back in June of 2021. The only positives I had for it at the time were the amazing soundtrack and cool-looking art style. I was unable to get into the gameplay at the time.

Jump forward to 2024 and the full game currently sits in the PS Plus game catalog. I finally decided to give it another chance and I'm much more satisfied with my experience this time around.

Scarlet Nexus is an action RPG that transports players into a futuristic world teeming with psychic abilities, formidable creatures, and a captivating anime-inspired aesthetic. Developed by Bandai Namco Studios, the game introduces players to a society where individuals harness extrasensory powers to combat grotesque beings known as the Others. As either Yuito Sumeragi or Kasane Randall, players dive into a narrative-driven adventure, wielding a range of psychokinetic abilities to vanquish their otherworldly foes. The game's striking visual style and compelling premise promise an immersive and action-packed gameplay experience.

I won't go out and say this is the best game ever or anything, but it is good enough to keep me playing it. I have kept this one installed and have found myself coming back to it frequently.
