365 days ago @flowerbaby and I officially began dating. Today we spent time together celebrating our anniversary.

Easter basket

Our one year anniversary also happened to be Easter Sunday. Upon waking this morning, I waited for the right moment for @flowerbaby to leave the bedroom. I then silently got into my closet and retrieved her Easter basket full of goodies. I had it prepared in the bedroom floor and she didn’t discover it there until a few minutes later.

Inside of her basket was a variety of tasty candy, a couple of stuffed animals, and a card. I also received a card and a pair of swimming trunks to match one of her bikinis.

First Watch

After our gift exchange, we went downstairs to have breakfast. We both got juices and a meal. I had shrimp and grits and she ordered a sandwich and salad. We enjoyed watching some AKC dogs do funny things with their trainers on ESPN while we ate.

The Pottery Place

We were going to go to the Pottery Place in Charleston, but it closed last December. So since we already had plans to do this, we drove 45 minutes to Huntington where the only Pottery Place is now.

@flowerbaby selected a mushroom house and I picked a snake. We both took our time painting and adding details to our pottery. After we finished we were told that our pieces would be ready to pick up in Teays Valley next Sunday morning.

Steak ‘n Shake

It was 2:30pm by the time we finished our pottery. Most restaurants around town were already closing up. Since it was Easter a lot of places weren’t open today, plus the ones that were only stayed open until 3pm for brunch.

I let @flowerbaby pick where she wanted and of all places she decided upon Steak ‘n Shake. I hadn’t been there since I was much younger. It wasn’t the best and also was not the worst. I at least walked out of there with an Oreo milkshake in hand.

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts

I promised @flowerbaby that I’d get her donuts if she passed on getting a milkshake. She was more than happy to do so and was very happy to pick out a half dozen. She ate the raspberry filled glazed donut first.

Some more photos

Once we finally got home, we snapped some photos in the parking garage. It was no longer cold outside and the sun was shining down upon us.

As you can see, @flowerbaby was looking hot! She was showing off her new tattoos above her knees and wearing her Easter colors. I thought her hair looked great, she just got it done at the beauty salon yesterday.

I’m so happy to have such an awesome girlfriend and I love her very much. We had such an awesome day together for our 1 year anniversary.
