This is so brutal 😰🥵

After my first day with Returnal, I took some time off to recover from failing over and over. The next evening, I was right back into this addictive game loop. I felt like I had made some serious progress in terms of my skill in the game. I even learned how to do an overload, which is basically like a quicker reload similar to the active reload in Gears of War games. Things were looking good.

Then I started my fourth cycle and the procedurally generated landscape was the hardest that I had set forth through thus far. After a few minutes of exploring the areas, I discovered my very first containment gate. This was a massive door that was blocked by a glowing growth. It was as easy as shooting the growth and then the door opened.

I failed to read the description carefully which told me that

"The area beyond contains an unusual number of hostiles - WARNING: Exit possible only if all the hostiles in the area are eliminated."

This basically meant I was about to be trapped inside of a room with swarms of alien creatures that want nothing more than for Selene to perish. Wait until you see how this goes.
