Being able to select a variety of different colors with my RGB light stands makes taking regular photos at home so much more fun. I no longer have to rely on sunlight slipping through tiny slivers of space within my apartment throughout the day. I can take photos during the day or night and do so anywhere, as long as there is a wall outlet nearby. I didn't do a ton of research back when I first ordered these lights and I got ones that don't have an internal battery. So I either have to plug them into a wall outlet or carry around a battery to plug them into. Both work just fine, but I would much rather not have the cords. That is why I ordered some lights that are cordless and they should arrive by the end of this week. The ones I got are not RBG though, so I have a feeling I'll end up buying a could more. I have found plenty of options that are decently affordable. For now I am working with my two RBG lights that also have the ability to do regular lighting colors. Things are going to get a lot more interesting when I have four different lights to work with. I never knew that lighting could be considered a hobby, but it definitely is. I a still just starting to figure out what works and what doesn't as you can see by the giant demon-like shadows in the background of some of today's photos. I know that I will continue to get better with this and look forward to continuing to take photos. It will be nice to be able to get outside and take well-lit photos during the night once my new lights arrive.
