I have a shorter post today. I’m totally exhausted and it’s been a long week with an even busier weekend ahead due to Valentine’s Day. Hopefully this post will motivate someone to stay persistent on Hive despite all of the odds.
Since December 2017 creating a post each day has been something that I have made sure to do. At first it was a chore and I didn’t always know what to say or do. Now it has become nearly effortless and words flow from within so easily. I am able to combine my love for writing with my skill of graphic design to create something amazing each day. It’s such an awesome thing to be able to do this daily on Hive.
At first I wasn’t receiving very many comments or upvotes. My content would be decent some days and mediocre the next. It took awhile to get in the groove of balancing what I like with what others will enjoy viewing. Eventually I began to see more and more regular visitors on my profile. It was a tough climb to make it where I am today, I’ve had many phases of what kind of content I would post. I am happy with where I am and look forward to making it even higher and meeting even more memorable individuals.
Throughout the time period since starting out I have kept doing what I wanted to do and gradually more and more people began to discover me and show me tremendous amounts of love. I am beyond thankful for every single person that I have met on Hive and am always happy to help anyone with a question. It’s fulfilling to know that I’m knowledgable about many subjects and am able to help. I remember not knowing who to ask when I first started, so I’m happy to be a beacon now.
Conversations are generally positive and people love helping one another here. This all has enabled me to continue to learn more about being myself, it’s nice when people accept you for who you are.
Transparency is one of my favorite things about Hive. I don’t have to worry about anybody stopping me from saying what I want to say. My posts don’t disappear, they are saved for as long as Hive continues to exist (very likely forever). It just makes sense to keep doing what I do here on Hive because I am in control of my creations. I encourage anyone else to do the same, whether you are brand new or a long time user. You are literally investing in yourself when you power up and continue to post content on Hive.
Going after something that you want often is full of difficulties. You must keep trying and trying until you finally achieve victory. This could be something such as a financial goal or getting with a female you have had your eye on for a long time, along with many other scenarios.
The song “You’re Gone” by: Ab-Soul and JMSN is one of my all time favorites. It’s a huge motivator for staying committed to a goal and accomplishing it.
The song is about doing whatever it takes to get a highly desirable girl. Some of the lyrics are a bit abstract, but if you have an open/clever kind you will enjoy it. This song came out back in 2013, over 8 years ago. At the time I took it literally, but now I hear it in a whole new way.
I like to apply this same mentality to my Hive efforts, doing whatever it takes to make at least one quality post each day. I’ll do what I have to do to keep evolving my presence here. The fact that I have seen growth here over the last 3 years is undeniable.
Everyday I acquire more and more power to influence how things go on Hive. Whether it be the ability to hand out rewards to others or being able to sway the vote of a witness/proposal. Being able to do something with my earnings besides just spend them on superficial items is pretty awesome.
I can literally change someone’s life just by liking their post or leaving them a tip. It may not seem like a lot to some, but something as small as one dollar is a lot in some parts of the world. Vote values will continue to rise and thus so will the affect I’m able to have on others. What the Hive ecosystem offers is a new circle of life where we can be there for one another.
Enjoy this song with its cool beat and the creative lyrics.
Persistence is the key, real shit she gon' remember me!
