Deep within the Animal Well 🦘🎮

Animal Well is one of the latest additions to the PS Plus game catalog. This is a PS5 title, meaning PS4 users will be unable to play it, unfortunately. However, on the bright side, this one is a day 1 release! The game seemed interesting, so I had to give it a try.

The reviews for this indie title have been nothing but positive so far. That is very impressive considering the bar for a good game these days is so how. How could something so simple be so good? Let's find out.

Animal Well invites players to explore a surreal, forsaken labyrinth and unravel its many secrets. Discover a mysterious, non-linear, interconnected world as you solve puzzles in over 250 rooms in whatever order you choose. Rely on your wits to avoid danger in this combat-free Metroidvania. You’ll encounter creatures both beautiful and unsettling, and have to decide what is safe and dangerous. Manipulate a pixel-art world in surprising and meaningful ways and try to survive what lurks in the dark. In Animal Well, there is more to the world than what you can see.

There isn't much out there in terms of information about Animal Well. I figured the best way to figure out if this game is any good is to just go ahead and play it.
