Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 5: 3 King James Version (RVR1960)
The word says that God very easily blesses those who approach him with a poor spirit.
Some confuse this poverty with the material; that the less assets a person has, God prefers him more.
The word clarifies that there is a diversity of spirits that each person has a spirit that makes us different and that characterizes us as people.
Some people, for example, are very haughty and this does not please God and looks at them from a distance and humiliates them for their haughtiness. While the humble who recognizes his need for God, blesses him and is called blessed.
