The Arctic ice melting
Due to the increase in air temperature due to the level of CO2, so little moisture in the air to form clouds. Rainforests once covered 14% of the earth's surface. Now only about 6% remains and according to estimates the remaining rainforest experts will be consumed less than 40 years. 1 to 1.5 hectares of rainforest disappears every 1 second as a tragic consequence of development in industrialized and developing countries.
Extinct
Nearly half of all species of flora, fauna and micro-organisms will be destroyed or inevitably endangered in the next quarter century due to deforestation.
Expert estimates that we are losing 137 species of plants, animals and insects every day due to deforestation. Or equal to 50,000 types each year. Along with the disappearance of species in the rainforest, as well as various treatments of diseases that threaten human life.
Today, 121 medicines sold throughout the world come from medicinal plants. Meanwhile 25% of Western pharmaceutical companies take ingredients from herbs from the rainforest, and less than 1% of these trees and tropical plants have been tested by scientists.
