Yesterday I watched the movie „Queen and Slim“ from director Melina Matsoukas, who is a famous music clip director. For example she did clips for Beyoncé („Formation“).
I really liked the movie. The director just knows how to compose good pictures and shots. The really good acting and the soundtrack (Dev Haynes from Blood Orange did a few songs) does the rest.
The movie takes the bonnie and clyde-theme and playes with it. It’s like a fairytale, very dreamy.
I would recommend everybody to watch it!
