Or who?
I have a lot of questions on this topic; and my perspective (or feeling or belief) has always been changing or shifting. Please note I'm not here to impose my belief on anyone (just merely giving my own perspective); in hopes to hear other people's perspectives as well. This topic is extremely vast. Allow me to raise this question: Shouldn't there be only one belief? Why is there more than one religion, more than one belief; why is there confusion and chaos and even wars over this topic? Why is it even on the back of the dollar bill (never mind, there's a lot of things on the dollar bill that are questionable)?
I was raised in a Christian environment. So it's not necessarily what I chose or adopted to believe; it's just what I was first introduced and raised into. Sure, I'd go to church regularly and do the bible study and the baptism and observe everything else going on (the holy ghost, speaking in tongues etc.). I wasn't necessarily in disbelief, more-so a mind full or unanswered questions - and still today. More questions now than before.
Well the bible looks like a man-made object. It's just a book full of words. (gosh that sounds so atheist). I'm not any thing, I'm not labeled by atheist, agnostic, christian; I'm just a man with a lot of unanswered questions.
We're not supposed to ask questions. No, that's silly; just read the Bible, believe it, accept it and have FAITH. At least that's the brick wall I keep running into; vague answers and faith.
So how do you explain miracles? Are miracles proof that every word of the Bible came from God? and who is God? if Jesus is the son of God, then who is God and who is Jesus?
Oh, they are one and the same. THAT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE!
Not trying to impose belief, I would love to agree with the Bible and say hey all this stuff is true; but I think my case here is the same with everyone else that has a different religion or belief, they all just believe what they want to believe.
Should it be that way?
Why can't we just PROVE where we came from and how we got here and why we're here?
A book of words.
So you're telling me that 12 guys wrote it?
OK, fine. And God was talking to those 12 guys and the 12 guys interpreted it and wrote it down.
Got it.
I came up with Theory around the time when I was in high-school (they were teaching evolution in high-school and the big bang).
The theory I thought up was. Well, in the beginning; they probably didn't have many laws (or no laws really). They certainly didn't have a constitution. So, how did they keep people in line. How did they have a right and a wrong? Oh, well surely this is a problem; if people can go around murdering other people with no jurisdiction. That can't be good; so maybe if they had this book with 10 commandments. That sounds wise; and a God to believe in to give people hope. Perhaps it was written by a group of guys such as our founding fathers.
Perhaps my theory has no meaning whatsoever and is nonsense. It's just a theory.
I'm no one to profess; just a man with questions.
It's not that I don't believe in God. I do believe in a higher power; a higher entity. I do believe in a God. One God, one creator. More-so like the law of attraction philosophy. It infers that everyone has a different interpretation of God but in reality, we're all preaching to the same God (of good that is). So it's very very vague as to who God really is. But I do believe in some form of God; just not sure that I'd define it by the terms of the Bible. I do think the Bible is very interesting though; confusing, but interesting.
Glad I got that off my chest; I just wanted to put my philosophy out there in the world. Get some of my questions out there, and hopefully get some responses as to other people's "real" philosophy's; please comment how you feel and believe in your life.
