Okay, So today I was bored with my old Banner and decided to make a new one. Through my travels I have seen that some people do not have a banner up on their member page. This is something that is very easy to do and is a great way to market yourself here on Steemit.

Your first step is to choose a banner image. You can use any image but it is best to try and pick or make one that is smililar to the banner size. That way you can predict how it will look on your page.
I set my image size to 1350 x 211 pixels.

Find a webhosting site to upload your banner to.
I use:

https://imgbb.com/
On your Steemit page, click on the Settings tab.
Then copy the direct link to your image into the "Cover Image Url"
Scroll down and click on the Update button
Now all you have to do is go back or reload your page and your new cover image should take effect!
A few tips while creating your image. Ensure that the middle section of the image isnt too busy. If it is you will not be able to read your information very well. Use this as a chance to promote yourself. Include an image of yourself or images related to things that you blog about.
