Today I woke up and this is what my car looked like. Welcome to Canadian winters. We have not had very many deep frosts yet this year and have only had one decent snowfall.
I had a nice hot coffee in my hand and a laptop in my other. Since my car is a standard and my driveway is sloped, I did not have the option of starting up my car and heading inside to drink my coffee and let the car warm up and thaw. So the great Canadians morning debate began.... Do I grab my scrapper from under the back seat and spend the next 5 - 10 minutes out in the cold clearing the ice off of my windshield... do I sit inside my car while it warms up and let all of the ice melt.... or do I let the defroster work just long enough to clear a small hole in the middle of the window. Then drive off while performing the lean over technique so I can see through the small clearing.
Needles to say I think every Canadian knows this technique well!
