This matte painting is inspired by a photograph that I took in the thick jungle flooded on the banks of the Amacayacu River which flows into the great Amazon river in southern Colombia. I edited the photo with the goal of converting it into a more illustrative image. Alternatively, I painted some ethereal beings similary to the jellyfish that then I put them on the jungle image.
There are legends about Amazon jungle that tell about intelligent beings that seem to have come from other worlds millions of years ago. These beings could have evolved silently and interacted with other beings not known by the human being and that for some reason only become visible under a state of perception in witch the human mind has no power.
Esta pintura digital está inspirada en una fotografía que tomé en la espesa selva inundada a orillas del río Amacayacu que desemboca en el gran río Amazonas en el sur de Colombia. Edité la foto con el objetivo de convertirla en una imagen más ilustrativa. Alternativamente, pinté algunos seres etéreos similares a las medusas que luego coloqué en la imagen selvática previamente editada.
Hay leyendas sobre la selva amazónica que hablan de seres inteligentes que parecen haber venido de otros mundos hace millones de años. Estos seres podrían haber evolucionado silenciosamente e interactuar con otros seres desconocidos por el ser humano y que por alguna razón solo se vuelven visibles bajo un estado de percepción en el que la mente humana no tiene poder.
