I agree on the nasty smells and chemicals. I only use water mixable oils so I donāt have to use the dangerous smelly stuff. šš

Thanks for the response and suggestions. The lighting in my painting room is very bright and direct, so somehow I've got the deal with that. Editing the photos to tone down the highlights from the glare

Interesting exercise. I'm currently working on an oil painting using a dark red wash on the canvas as the starting point. It really messed with my value study.
