Afternoon Peeps, how's the weekend treating you? Taking yesterday off from recording I am coming at you with a clip recorded fresh today announcing having solved the issues I previously had with syncing my #DTube/#Avalon Node. I believe that going forwards I will keep this schedule, recording monday-friday and taking saturday/sunday off to do a potentially weekly pre-scheduled live stream.
I recorded this using the easy setup I have started for restream using my All-In-One adding the Logitech C270 for increased camera and audio quality easiest way possible. Next week I should literally be able to just sit down and fire up the browser, then click go live... at least that is what I want!
Why was I down for so long? In short I was getting too frustrated with the problem while in pain to see the issue I was faced with. I needed a day of relaxing to be able to approach the problem and make a hard decision, time to pivot. What was the issue? Files would randomly become inaccessible and I had though it was my handling of the serving making these problems arise. This logically meant having someone else handle the server for me but I am not comfortable saying I am a Leader of DTube if I cannot at least get the bloody node up and running.
Pivoting in this situation meant not giving up on being a leader but changing my approach. If I am not the issue then what is? What could cause files from not being accessible even from root? Only thing that I could think of was a hardware issue. Without the knowhow to check I took the easy method and upgraded the server I was using for maximum speed replacing the potentially bad SSD & RAM with new faster NVME & doubling the RAM(RAM at no extra cost but the NVME traded off much SSD storage space).
