Gisto authenticates to GitHub by using oAuth2 token and this will be saved permanently until you log out. Gitso use GitHub gist API and communicates directly with Github without involving any 3rd parties. The App runs on Windows, Mac and Linux.

I don't use GitHub. So I couldn't Log In and test everything. The Windows version is an exe file that is 96.1 MB in size. Everything is 100% free and open source.
