BitTorrent Project Launches Online Broadcast Service
The company BitTorrent, recently purchased by the founder of the cryptocurrency TRON, announced the launch of its own streaming service called BitTorrent Live. Users will have early access to the beta version of the application in the second quarter of this year.
Recall that the developers also launched their own BitTorrent Token cryptocurrency, which will be received by active torrent users and those who leave files for distribution in a torrent tracker.
BTT tokens will also be used in the new BitTorrent Live application, which aims to connect people with common interests online. At the next stage, the project representatives are planning to implement blockchain technology, which will increase the privacy level of user data, as well as the functionality of crypto payments using BitTorrent Token.
