and, again—
                   —this time less elaborate.
this time, with greater feeling.
this time, clearer—more abstract.
again & again, under then over,
      frivolity weighed against heft.
                            a searing screenplay
                 carrying exigencies of fire
                                 behind manilla lids.

                           Graphite, pixels, saline—
               work with the medium at hand.
    this time, with endless agony.
this time—with vigor—billowing hope trailing
                                     a gown of diaphanous vapor,
                                       streamlined canticle in flesh
                                 rising up from its pyramid of lime.

again calcium, again magnesium, iridium, gold:
                                                                solve et coagula.
          biochemical sophistry, sad monolith;
      this time, self-actualize on cue.
visit the interior of the earth,
               in order to rectify
                          what is discovered in darkness.
                                             once more, de novo,
                       simpler, with greater thrust.
