Yes the architecture is stunning, it's really hard as an American to fathom the antiquity of many of them. Makes the cities so unique and you can feel how much history is there. Can't wait until the next time I get the chance to visit. I'm very interested in doing a backpacking trip across France, but I want to learn some of the language before doing that!
