NOTE — I had hoped to complete a short story called "Becoming Number 27" that I'm working on for @scholaris' word of the week initiative. The word is "Hive." However, when I began to work on it I quickly saw that it will require significant length to tell the whole story properly. It may take me a week or two to complete and edit.

It also may need to be split up into a few posts/chapters in serial fashion to be digestible in blog format. I still wanted to participate as having a particular word or image to serve as a "seed crystal" for the creative process is very helpful for me. Also, I am very much enjoying the engagement I've experienced in the Proof of Brain community so far. So here is a Hive-inspired poem — from the perspective of a worker bee.
