Ever-rising, ever-risen
original poetryEverything in life
is a tomb where
I buried the intensity
of my feelings:
.
I resurrect
my shock of separation
before bed,
when distractions
sleep.
.
I exhume
my rage
along with the bones
of the sun.
.
I enchant
my shame
with green necromancy
in the cold shadows
of dusk.
.
I enliven
my awe
with a feathered
key into
the pearly gates.
I tease
my joy,
a wayward
cat.
.
I redeem
my guilt
with a wand
of berries
and a blanket
of sand.
.
I unravel my fear
with a
language of water
and shapes.
.
I unsmother
my sadness
with an
orange touch.
.
I unbind
the wings
of my love,
so it can fly free.
