Standard Notes is a note taking application that puts particular emphasis on privacy & security. It is cross-platform and of course, completely open-source. It features unmatched simplicity, end-to-end encryption and powerful extensions

Proposal

Read only feature makes notes applications great, so i suggest that Standard notes developers should take this into consideration and add an option that will enable users to keep their notes on a Read only mode. This option when turn on should make it impossible to edit note stored on Standard notes

The feature will be place under settings with a toggle that the user can either switch it on if he chooses to.

Benefits

This is a great feature anyday, anytime. Because It helps protect the users files from being edited when an unknown user mistakenly go through their notes. When this feature is on it will help make the note readable but not editable.
