All you have is a creative mind and a passionate heart to do the job. Creativity is the aftermath of consolidated ideas from diverse individuals. How? You have to shoptalk to your siblings, friends, or colleagues. Definitely you will learn a lot from them. They too have hosted birthday parties and the like. Of course, you need to have the enthusiasm to learn and apply it by working on your own. Application is a must to become adept of one’s craft.

What to prepare before the big day? I have listed 5 things which you may consider before hosting an event such as birthday parties. First, think of the people you would like to invite. Are you planning to have a big blast or just a simple family affair? The number of people to be invited should be considered so that you will have a clear picture of the estimated expenses. Actually, if your budget is a bit tight, you may have an ordinary meal with an extraordinary activities to make it more memorable. Remember, it’s not about the fancy food eaten during the party, but the activities done throughout that day. What will persist in the mind of the children are the feeling they felt, and the experiences they’ve gone through.

The next thing to consider is the venue. If you want it to be solely a family get-together, then you don’t have to leave. You may stay and celebrate it at your humble home. On the other hand, if you’re planning to have a bigger crowd, you may rent a Function Hall. However, it requires a rental depending on the number of hours you will be staying.

Third thing to consider are the foods to be served. Basically it will depend on the time your party will be held. You may choose either at noontime or afternoon. If you have a bigger budget, go for noontime. If not, take the second option. We’re talking about children’s party here. You don’t want to let the visitors go home late at night, do you? So take my advice, you may have it in the afternoon. Why? Well, practically speaking, you will have sufficient time to decorate the venue. Also, you will still have time to fix your hair and make-up and fit your party dress.

Next will be the decorations. As what I have said, “You have what it takes to bring that imaginative party into reality.” Party decors are not that hard to find and produce nowadays. You need to have a laptop, a printer, and lots paper. Be innovative and artistic. My next blog will teach how to make your own decors. For the meantime, focus on listing.

Lastly, arrange the parts of the program. You don’t want to hold a boring party, do you? To make it more fun and exciting, put up a photo booth corner, a dedication corner, or even a playing area. Things don’t have to be new or expensive. You may borrow from your dabarkads or you may use the available materials at home.

Surely they would love that! Who would go home without even joining a game? Children’s party wouldn’t be complete without it. I suggest that you group the children by their age and in every group, prepare a game for them. You may also invite grownups to join the game; certainly the kiddos would cheer for them.
