I had actually not been interested in the Hive Blockchain before now. I had prior knowledge about crypto, having bitcoins, and all other cryptocurrencies. I knew about wallets, transfer exorbitant prices on some blockchains. I knew of the platform and what it does but I did not think I needed to be a part of it.

I am a good writer (if I may say so myself) and I have written some very interesting content in my lifetime - from short stories to poems, lifestyle articles, etc. I’ve even written for some friends’ blogs and I had a newsletter I was sending to over a thousand subscribers weekly for my former company - but I had hardly ever thought of making money so much through it. However, life happened. I got into a new job which promised to be sweet but for some reason best known to my stubborn head, I found myself fighting to preserve my mental health and as with the silent twins, one had to die for the other to live a normal life; of course, I chose my mental health over a job that wasn’t making me up to $1000 in a month.

This situation left me with a clearer and more eased mind but no steady means of income. Hunger would probably lead me back to the depression I was running away from and something had to be done, so I hit up all friends I knew who made money off writing to find out their methods. I also broadcasted to my contacts on the same topic and received a few hits. One of them was a reminder that I had belemo@belemo who was making money through writing on Hive. I remembered that we had even had a conversation about it before but I was very uninterested at the time, so I decided to hit him up and declare my intent to make money off writing.

The previously casual explanation on Hive and how it worked had to be revisited but as a serious conversation about HIVE and what it is all about. I was guided on the onboarding process which for a cryptocurrency platform was quite easy to sign up on (save for the few errors that were mostly of my own brilliant mind). I especially loved the chrome extensions which also serve effectively on the Brave browser. They totally make things easier.

I am although curious as to why crypto platforms always emphasize the fact that lost passwords can not be retrieved. Is it solely a security measure? I like to think that it might be reviewed if it is just for security Anyway, it is great to be here. I look forward to telling you interesting stories, some sad ones, some DIYS, and most importantly, I can’t wait to start making money here.
