I recently posted an article on the effect of Nuclear weapons on our world, earth. We all know that the effect cannot be over emphasised. In a reply to what @pangoli said, I pointed out a future where, wars will be more fierce and more dangerous but easily achievable through cyber attacks and activities.
Glancing through a little history of cyber wars, we have this;
- 2008 cyberattack on United States , cyber espionage
targeting U.S. military computers
Cyber attack during the Paris G20 Summit , targeting
G20-related documents including financial informationGhostNet
Moonlight Maze
Operation Newscaster , cyber espionage covert operation
allegedly conducted by IranOperation Cleaver , cyberwarfare covert operation
allegedly conducted by IranShadow Network, attacks on India by China
Titan Rain , targeting defense contractors in the United
StatesGoogle – in 2009, the Chinese hackers breached
Google's corporate servers gained access to a database
containing classified information about suspected spies,
agents, and terrorists under surveillance by the US
government.
- gauss trojan, discovered in 2012 is a state-sponsored
computer espionage operation that uses state-of-the-art
software to extract a wealth of sensitive data from
thousands of machines located mostly in the Middle
East.
- Office of Personnel Management data breach—Dec 2014
breach of data on U.S. government employees
A six-month-long cyberattack on the German parliament
for which the Sofacy Group is suspected took place in
December 2014.
- Vestige is also suspected to be behind a spearphishing
attack in August 2016 on members of the Bundestag and
multiple political parties such as Linken -faction leader
Sahra Wagenknecht , Junge Union and the CDU of
Saarland. Authorities fear that sensitive
information could be gathered by hackers to later
manipulate the public ahead of elections such as
Germany's next federal election due in September

One shouldn't freak out over all this histories and actually they are histories, which shouldn't judge us. We should base our gaze on the future that we are very very close to.
But that future, what determines it? histories!
We've seen different form of cyber attacks on varying aspect of our life from politics to education, to law, to policing etc, hackers have successful get their way into most, if not all of this areas. They've successful get their hands on all this.
You might be thinking that too much of movies is affecting my judgement in this case(Mark Zuckerberg) actually said this, Hollywood or not, cyber wars is real and it's getting crazier, day by day.
You can't actually argue this fact out as its glaring how the cyber space is getting on a faster spree anyone can't even imagine.
Any solution
What if they can launch and we can destroy it?
That is actually what came to my mind, if they can launch then can't we destroy it?
I am quite sceptical about a World War III, which we can't ignore, because the pointers are on already, leaders are in disagreement, nations are against each other, permutation is on the rise between countries against another country. We can say this are signs of another global war., which I can say authoritatively that cyber wars will spearhead the fight.
Lets destroy this lethal weapons!
Thanks for your time.
