Lost Hopes
As the raven called out, 'nevermore'
love gives way to pining evermore
as with Poe, hope is lost for Lenore
so many loves die on distant shore
lost hopes crying like the oceans roar
who laughs last evens the ghostly score
sirens waving, calling as in lore
dashing hopes, as rocky coasts implore
hold raven to account, close the door
shred lost hopes upon the ocean's floor!
