We see in the word of God the different opportunities in which God has fulfilled his promises, we must remember the promises that God has fulfilled in our lives too.

It came to pass after these things, that God tested Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham. And he answered: Here I am. 2 And he said, Take now your son, your only son, Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I will tell you. 3 And Abraham rose early in the morning, and saddled his donkey, and took with him two of his servants, and his son Isaac; and he cut wood for the burnt offering, and arose, and went to the place of which God told him. 4 On the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes and saw the place far away. 5 Then Abraham said to his servants, Wait here with the donkey, and I and the boy will go there and worship, and we will return to you. 6 And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it on his son Isaac, and he took the fire and the knife in his hand; and they both went together. 7 Then Isaac spoke to Abraham his father, and said, My father. And he answered: Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood; but where is the lamb for the burnt offering? 8 And Abraham said, God will provide a lamb for a burnt offering, my son. And they went together.
9 And when they came to the place of which God had told him, Abraham built an altar there, and laid out the wood, and bound his son Isaac, and laid him on the altar on the wood.

Genesis 22:1-9

We have seen the growth of our faith and how it should develop in our lives through reading the word of God. We can also look at Abraham's life of faith to better understand these stages of faith.

An example of beginning in faith is the case when God told Abraham that he would have a son in his old age. In the word of God we see that Abraham laughed and also doubted what God said, the same thing happened with his wife, Sarah. They believed that because they were old they would have no hope of being parents, but this has been an opportunity for God to glorify himself.

An example of increased faith is the case of when the Lord fulfilled the promise he made to Sara, when her son was born, their faith became much stronger.

Now for a case of mature faith we see all the cases in which God has fulfilled the promises to Abraham and the most significant and impressive episode that we see is when God asked him to sacrifice his son, Abraham did not hesitate as in the case when his faith was not so mature. Here he was firm that God would do his perfect work and so he was willing to kill his beloved son.

5 Then Abraham said to his servants, Wait here with the donkey, and I and the boy will go there and worship, and we will return to you.

Genesis 22:5

I am sure that in your life God has also done feats and miracles, it is important that you remember everything that the Lord has done.

Vemos en la palabra de Dios las diferentes oportunidades en que Dios ha cumplido sus promesas, debemos recordar las promesas que Dios ha cumplido en nuestras vidas también.

Aconteció después de estas cosas, que probó Dios a Abraham, y le dijo: Abraham. Y él respondió: Heme aquí, mi hijo. Y él dijo: He aquí el fuego y la leña; mas ¿dónde está el cordero para el holocausto? 8 Y respondió Abraham: Dios se proveerá de cordero para el holocausto, hijo mío. E iban juntos.
9 Y cuando llegaron al lugar que Dios le había dicho, edificó allí Abraham un altar, y compuso la leña, y ató a Isaac su hijo, y lo puso en el altar sobre la leña.
