One never knows what treasures wait at the Local Coin Shops. I picked up this Silver, Chief Menawa, of the Poarch Creek Nation of Indians, Proof Silver Dollar, one Troy ounce, a few months ago. The mintage is 10,000. The Native American Mint also made a much rarer, Gold version ounce, also. The Creek Nation recognize Chief Menawa as one of their Greatest Heroes.
I also picked up 5,000 Wheat Cents, that I plan on sifting through, for the fun of it. Some will be over one hundred years old. Any US Copper (95%) cent, 1981 or older, contains almost $.025 wealth of copper. Some, but not all 1982, also. Current US Cents are now minted in mostly less expensive Zinc. Many Coppers are still in circulation, and can be found in change. I never use a cent in a purchase, I want my four cents change.
