With the price of Precious Metals up, there are many nice items, but at higher prices. Better coins are turning up in the "Junk Box." The US Half Dollars were $10 USD each. ($20 for $1 face value) Or around $27.70 / Troy oz.
I spent $110 for $5.50 face value. The recent prices are much higher, but I still feel satisfied trading fiat dollars for Silver Dollars. This for one of these:
These Columbian Exposition Chicago US Half Dollars came out right before the 1893 Depression. Probably, because of the hard times, they found their way into circulation. I love finding Silver Halves, like these, right next to 1964 Silver Kennedy Half Dollars for the same price. Thanks for looking.
