The Local Coin Shop has plenty of Gold and Silver, Yes, at a higher price, of course. American Silver Eagles are up to $34.5 from under $20 a couple of months ago. And Gold, even better, or worse, depending on how one looks at it. And some say the price is going to rise even more. But poor man's Silver, or Copper, seems to be unaffected by the move in Precious Metals price. So, I picked up a bag of US Wheat Cents, 5,000 or $50, for $185 or $.037 each. A copper US cent, 1982 or older, has a melt value of around $.018. Not to be confused with more recent zinc cents. Can't wait to check dates, Some should be over 100 years old. All should be over 60 years.
