Dukes and Duchesses of the Deserted!
ASWvehicles2win.jpg

This week of the ASW contest was pretty awesome. The theme was "vehicles" but it wasn't just a bunch of cars. There were bikes, motorcycles, ships, tanks, even helicopters. Great job, participants. Even if you weren't a chosen winner, you did a lot by bringing such cool content to Steemit over the past 6 days. Now then, lets get to the winners!

The Theme:

This week's theme = VEHICLES! Any form of transportation. Cars, trucks, motorcycles, bicycles, trains, airplanes, buses, boats, or barges and everything in between! Lets see some rotten, forgotten vehicles!

The results:

1st Place Winner - 10 x 100% Power Upvotes: SCAMMER

Motherfucker! So, the 1st place winner this week ended up being a bullshit scammer in Nigeria. Big thanks to steemian idkpdx@idkpdx for pointing this out to me. The image did not come up on tineye, but he let me know it was taken from instagram user urbex@urbex_et_prestige. Please, go to the scammer's entry at the link below and join me in flagging it for plagiarism.

2nd Place Winner - 5 x 100% Power Upvotes: dechastre@dechastre

A form of vehicle I would have never thought of; this gondola is worthy of 2nd place in this weeks contest. Aside from being a creative and interesting entry, I love the moss mat that has grown beneath it on the concrete.
From the author: "This is an abandoned wagon of the old teleferic system of Macuto. It was, for the time, one of the most effective means of transport to get from La Guaira to the top of El Avila, even to go directly to the city of Caracas in the decade of the 60s"

3rd Place Winner - 3 x 100% Power Upvote: jayclar30@jayclar30

While this busted car in the woods is cool on it's own, the story behind it is the reason for winning a top 3 spot this week. Check out the post at the link below to read the whole thing. But legitimately in the middle of no where. No hints as to the story behind it. I love the mystery surrounding this entry!
From the author: "It appears to be a Ford Falcon, XD model that was manufactured between 1979-1982. You don't see these around much anymore. My first thought was did someone have an accident? "

"My journey this time to explore the interior of Russia, The scenery is amazing with the plants are still natural, cool air, very much different elsewhere and apparently here stored items left behind just around the road. I found a rusty military truck dormant on a bush-lined street."

I swear this contest gets harder to judge each week. There's rarely ever a real run-away winner and so many entries are worthy of the top spot. Keep up the great work everyone! I think myself and many other steemians really appreciate seeing your cool photos each week!
