Good afternoon Steemians,
I just wanted to know how many Steemians were fans of Kali and backtrack. I started using this operating system a few months a go and since then have rarely used windows. Below I'm going to post the pros and cons I've came across and sort of go from there.
Pros:
1. Accessing information... Kali offers several great tools, such as air crack, ether cap, Beef, and they are all in separate application categories such as information gathering, WiFi hacking, password hacking, and social engineering. There are plenty more than that, but I don't typically use the other applications much.
2. Any old laptop or PC can typically use kali.
3. Speed obviously its always better to have maxed out hardware specs but even with the basics the operating system has been quick regardless to what I'm doing.
4. Kali is free... Yes no cost my friends.
5. Support like no other: You can get support for Kali literally anywhere.
6. Cryptocurrency mining- Thats right you can mine with Linux, as I'm sure you all already know but the cool thing is the speed if CPU mining doesn't take a huge hit for the most part.

Cons:
1. If you aren't familiar with Linux, you may have a little difficulty
2. I'm not sure- I don't really know of any real Cons you see I'm a big fan of backtrack and kali so I stay up to date. However I guess you could say the programs your use to in windows aren't there, but 9 times out of 10 theres usually an application to make the program or application work such as Office products, or microsoft products in general.

If your interested in trying it out try a virtual machine on your windows computer
Virtual machines do give you the ability to run Linux and other operating systems. So my advice is you should try it out and go from there. Below I will post the urls you need in order to make it happen.. feel free to let me know if you guys & gals need assistance.
