Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!
Welcome to the weekend, and welcome to another Caturday update!
Watching intently!
Things around here have returned to normal after the Hoomans have returned from their little mini vacation, and we are all happy for that. While "Auntie Nina" showed up and gave us treats and head scratches, it's just not the same.
We were going to play it very cool when the Hoomans came back but we really missed having them around so we were just happy and purring instead!
Nala, showing off her pretty green eyes!
It would seem that summer is truly here now, certainly based on how hot and sunny it has been for the last few days. Tomorrow, the humans will be celebrating "midsummer" which also means that we have arrived at the longest day of the year.
I really like this warm time of the year because it not only means that there are good sunny spots, but we also have the windows open most of the time and we can lay in front of the screen door and take in all the scents from outside.
The Dad-Hooman is trimming trees...
According to the Hoomans who try to predict the weather, we're going to have a really hot summer! We'll see if that actually turns out to be true... I'm personally a bit skeptical of that one, but I certainly won't mind a bit of heat!
Here's one for the "is that actually a thing" department: yesterday June 19th was "international box day!" If you don't believe me, Google it!
Good grooming matters!
That might sound like a silly thing to have a special day for, but if you've ever had a cat in your life you know how much we love boxes both to play in and to sleep in.
They're always plenty of boxes around our place because the Hoomans get all kinds of things sent to them from Amazon and other places.
Shangri, being a goofball!
With this being nice weather at the moment, the Dad-Hooman has been very busy cutting back three branches that are hanging over the roof of our house. He says they "fill the gutters," whatever that means. Regardless, it means he's often working right outside the windows, giving us plenty of things to spectate.
I just hope he doesn't fall off any of his ladders! You Hoomans don't seem to have figured out how to always land on your feet the way we cats do!
Hello!
Otherwise, not much new from our corner of the world. The Cryptosphere — including our own Hive token — remains lackluster and in a general downtrend. I wish I could feel more enthisiastic about it... but I just can't.
The Dad-Hooman looks at a lot of what he's calling "football" on the computer, preactically every day. I don't begrudge him that... we cats enjoy our own sports!
Nala by the stairs
So that's where we're going to end it, for this time.
Thanks for coming to visit our little cat blog, and we hope to see you again soon! Until then, have a wonderful remainder of your weekend!
If you're a cat lover and often/sometimes post pictures or other content that includes your feline friends, why not become an active part of Hive's growing Cat Communities?
These are some of the more active Cat Communities — why not join them ALL? Many of the allow you to share your cat posts, even if you started at a different community!
HiveCats by is a central "gathering place" for cat content on Hive; promoting the use of the #hivecats tag for feline content!
Cat Snaps by is a place to post pictures of your cats when you don't have a whole lot to say beyond just sharing your cute photos!
Caturday by is a community where we get to celebrate posts relating to Saturday — aka "Caturday" — our own special day!
Cat Photos by is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS!
Cats by (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community.
There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
