Seems like there will always be system abusers, no matter what your system is, nor how many safeguards we might set up to prevent abuse.

Whereas I am in favor of auto votes — even as a tiny account — perhaps there need to be certain limitations; perhaps a variation of what is built into the system wide rules concerning governance votes? At least that would address those with large stakes who just set up auto-voting and never come back.

Consider, for example, that perhaps your auto-voting setup simply expires if you don't log in and manually check your vote set-up at least every three months. Or six months... or however long we might arbitrarily decide it takes for someone to start skating by with poor content.

I realize it wouldn't be propular with the "invest and leave it autopilot" crowd, but to what extent to we really want a venue that is allegedly "social" to be passive?
