Personally, I believe in building and being active in what I support because the focus is more likely to result in excellence than the "tearing down" approach which involves a lot more energy and effort going into deconstruction than into creating... and thus is more likely to open the door to mediocrity.

With that bit of intellectual theorizing out of the way, I try to remind myself that the entire crypto-social scene like this is still (on the greater scale of things) in its infancy. We're still learning as we go. I remember a very long time ago reading an interview with Dan (Larimer) in which he referred to St€€m as "an experiment."

Agreed! And I'm going to refer back to "where we put our energy." It's a bit like the famous Zen Koan: "What is the sound of one hand clapping?" only different: Don't engage in the mudwrestling if you don't like it... because "what's the sound of ONE person having an argument?"
