Thanks for sharing your pretty thorough impressions!

I picked up on your post because it's relevant around here... both my wife and I have somewhat older systems and keep getting irritating "you should really buy a Windows 11 ready computer because we're dropping support for Windows 10" messages, not to mention the sudden emergency updates (we call it "getting update fücked").

Thus Linux is one alternative we're considering... and this sounds promising!
