Chandpur~Belgaon, Tea Garden, Chittagong
I wanted to go to the tea garden. But it is not possible to go to Sylhet at this moment. Far away I heard that there is a tea garden in Chittagong. Chittagong is very close. So I started a little search.
We all know "Sylhet" as a city of tea. But there are also tea gardens in Chittagong. One of the beautiful tea gardens of Chittagong is "Chandpur-Belgaoun tea garden". It is located in Banshkhali upazila of Chittagong. Close to the main town, this tea garden can be visited day by day on the highway.
Chittagong is a tourist area. At present, this tea garden is visited by more or less tourists every day, but this tea garden has some differences from other tea gardens in Bangladesh. The difference is the "elephant". In Bangladesh, elephants can be seen only around this tea garden. Not just elephants, but elephants can be seen with good luck. No one knows when the elephants will come and go. Locally and from tea-garden sources it is known that almost every night / afternoon / evening / herd of elephants roams in and around this garden, but in some special places there are often elephant herds.
Those who wish to visit this garden will have to return from day to day as there is no way to stay here, and if an elephant herd is seen in a hurry, care must be taken to avoid an accident.
How to go:
From anywhere in the country, first you have to come to Chittagong, get off at Bahaddarhat bus terminal in Chittagong. From there by bus to Banshkhali (Chanpur), from Chanpur by CNG directly to the tea garden.
It is better to say that Chanpur is the first place to enter Banshkhali.
