I think a mentorship program is good for newcomers. There are just too many concepts on Hive that new joiners have to learn before they can start to run on their own. If I imagine myself as a newcomer, I will be totally put off by the steep learning curve.

As for inactive dolphins, I guess some accounts are just there to earn passive income. Not everyone want to spend the extra time and effort. I don't think they have lost interest and left as they would have powered down and leave entirely if that is the case. The amount of Hive required to reach dolphin status is still quite substantial, so I can't imagine how someone will leave without selling them off 😅
