Well, horror movies are tricky terrain as horror has many aspects. The direction for the first 45 minutes is incredible, and it's hard to see a big budget horror film that is out of the ordinary, that's why it could be the best of the year. Also, I mean it's the best of the year genre-wise, not overall.
