So here I am, logged into Steemit, writing my first post.
The experience of getting to this point of my first post was like walking in a dark unknown room trying to find your feet and place them in the right places, yet VERY refreshing to the social media we all have become costumed with.
Having a PASSWORD of note, with reference to the size of it, quickly woke me up to the realisation that I have become quite complacent with internet passwords and again realised that internet security should really be taken up seriously. I think this noion was spurred by my recent research in crypto-currencies. Strange how one becomes very "security oriented" when money is involved, as apposed to the complacency that still exists with regards to personal information.
Having touched on crypto-currencies, I am sitting hear pondering about: I wonder how many of the Steemit community are already involved with crypto-currencies. I believe the number out-weighs the crypto-novice because of the difficult concept of blockchain and digital currencies, however, my personal believe is that blockchain is one MASSIVE technology in its infancy. Once the concept of blockchain becomes easy to understand through further blockchain development, the blockchain based applications, and inherently blockchain currencies, will sky rocket.
Anyhow, before I reveal my limited knowledge of blockchain and relevent stuff, lets get back to this post's topic.
As I really have a love for South Africa, I might take on a "Travel South Africa" series of posts to serve as quick quides to travel this beautiful diverse country.
And who knows what else I will be posting. I am an entrepreneur and might use my posts to assist other people in obstacles I have battled with myself, when it comes to things associated with starting up a business and the core things (which includes technology) that is kind of a non-negotiable.
So please follow me in my quest to bring you informative information and some opinions, for whom it may matter. :-)
