I've seen an entry of wild passion fruit in @fruitsandveggiesmonday. I have seen something that looks really the same around here before. I wonder if they are edible but as far as i can remember, way back childhood days there are some who used to ate it and they were not poisoned. I have searched for it in the weeds around our place and I found this.
It's amazing how the green mesh like covering wrap around the fruit which traps insects that made the plant protocarnivorous.
It's truly nature!
