Quick back story. I have been mining ethereum since 2015 and continue to be a miner of ETH and ETC. I currently have a collective 32 GPU's running 24/7. My older mining rigs are running AMD R9 390's and the newest machines are running Gigabyte GTX 1070 G1's. For those of you who operate multi GPU mining rigs, you know the effort it takes. For those of you who are new and are thinking about mining with larger machines, learning and operating multi GPU mining rigs can be somewhat of a job. I decided I wanted to build another 6 GPU mining computer this past week but quickly found that good, moderately priced GPU's are hard to come by these days! All the major suppliers are either on back order, out of stock or have a limit of one per customer. Obviously, proof of work crypto mining has put a strain on the supply chain. Also, I have noticed that many of the retailers and re-sellers that do have some in stock are charging a premium. Some up to double what they should be! Take the Gigabyte GTX 1070 G1's for example. I purchased multiple GTX 1070 G1's for $399 each a few months ago from Newegg.com. Two days ago there was a limit of one per customer at $439. As of today, they are out of stock. On Amazon, people are wanting in excess of $800 for the same card. Let me know what your opinion is on this and where you are buying your GPU's from. Thanks for reading and may the crypto gods smile upon you!
