Yes. I said it. Democracy is 100% complete shit.
Here's why.
People should have autonomy. Which basically means that we should have the right to govern ourselves. Democracy basically says: "Well, since there are more of us who think it should be this way, then the rest of you just have to suffer through it." It has oftentimes been compared to "legal gang-rape", and as messed up as that sounds, it's true.
If 6 people want to rob you but only 4 think that's a bad idea, the democratic outcome would be that you would get robbed. Regardless of what the minority thought about it. Hence, democracy is inherently immoral. There is no room for humanity when the majority of the "democratic" decisions are being made by the same rich lifelong politicians every year.
I am a firm believer in personal choice. Nobody has the right to force anyone else to do anything that they don't want to do, even if they're wearing a fancy blue suit and have guns. That does not permit them to rule over you as if you were some kind of slave. The only time that should be permittable is if someone has committed the only legitimate crime, which is theft.

Theft is violence, violence is theft. That is the only true crime. If no other person has been harmed then there has been no crime and anyone pretending as if there has been one is simply tricking you into taking the punishment that the government does not even have the legal or moral right to serve you.
Just because some things are legal or illegal does not make them good or bad. Slavery is still legal in some places. What that basically means is, human trafficking is legal in some places.
Humans are being treated and traded like cattle and all of it is legal because there are more people who think that it's the right thing to do so who cares what the minorities think, right? Gotta love democracy!
Anyhow, I'm obviously a little frustrated with the state of the world we live in, especially since I don't feel like there is a whole lot I could personally do about it. Maybe though, if I keep working at it, I can actually do something good and worth remembering in this lifetime.
Fuck the government.
