Hi there Steemians! I wanted to formally introduce to you my Alaskan Malamutes. Their names are Neptune and Venus and they light up my life!
Neptune was my first Malamute, I got him four years ago from Carolina Malamutes when he was just 9 weeks old!
These are his litter mates, there are 10 of them!
He's grown and changed so much over the years and he's truly my best friend!
And now he's a massive 100 pounds!
Venus is my baby girl and she flew on a plane all the way from Oregon to be with us. We met her and the breeder at the airport and it was love at first sight!
I mean, how could you not just adore her?
Introducing Venus to Neptune however, was not easy at first. Neptune did not take kindly to the new baby and he was really aggressive with her at first. It scared me and I thought I'd made a mistake bringing her into our lives.
Venus has the heart of a lion though and it didn't take long until they had become inseparable.
They have had so many adventures together hiking , camping and exploring waterfalls in our Appalachian and Blue Ridge Mountains.
Venus is all grown up now and at the age of two is a very healthy 75 pounds. She is the sweetest most loving and obedient dog and I'm just smitten with her!
So now you know, in the future when I speak of Neptune and Venus, this is who I'm talking about. I look forward to sharing more about my adventures with these two!
