Everyday we use different online platforms for various purposes, whether we are shopping for groceries, gadgets, booking flight and so on. These services usually require us to enter some of our personal information. Some other services we use don’t even ask for our permission instaed they stealthily siphon our personal information from our smartphones, laptops or any other smart device we use. Information such as medical history, location, life pattern, contact details are some of the information which are usually stolen under our nose. This is just a small fraction of cyber threats, they are usually full blown threats being targeted at particular individuals, companies or even government agencies. These threats usually result in the theft of private information of people, companies and government. This is the situation we have found ourselves in. In recent years the number of cyber crimes have skyrocketed, this can be attributed to the outdated and inefficient cyber security solutions available.

Heroic Cybersecurity Proposition

Big corporations and governments wield full control of threat data and as a result every other person or small businesses are left in the dark of what is currently happening. This has also resulted in the stifling pace of cyber security solution. Other individuals, small and medium businesses lack the insight and are thus vulnerable to cyber attacks. Threat miners who install and run the Guardian Arc application which collects and analyses threat data, organisations who provide vast amount of threat data and create a marketplace for threat data and developers who provide research and development on the are all essential to the success of the Heroic ecosystem. They each play different roles and at the same time benefit from the value they add in the ecosystem.

While Heroic rids the internet of cyber threats, it also incentives users who contribute in various ways.
