Sports is a universal language, it unites the whole world, it knows no language, skin color or country. Take for instance the ongoing world cup being hosted in Russia, people have come from 4 spheres of the earth just to be part of the euphoria of world cup glory. This is common with every other sporting activity, sports fans travel around the globe either to watch their favorite teams play or watch their favorite athletes. And to every team and player out there, their utmost sporting dream is to make it to the big stage. The bad news is that currently there are a lot of limiting factors for most of the clubs and players that ultimately these dreams and ambitions are never actualized. For the clubs, in order to be among the best out there, you will have to have some of the best athletes on your team. Most talented athletes soon realize that talent is not enough, in order to be discovered by clubs they need to have sponsors who will help them to get to the big stage.

The Problem

Let us take football, for example, there is a lot of regulations limiting the purchasing power of most clubs during the transfer market. For instance, FIFA financial fair play has only made the rich clubs increasingly powerful in the transfer market. They purchase the best players with their financial prowess and the not so rich clubs scramble for the whatever quality is left in the market in order not to spend outside of their financial fair play and some clubs are forced to sell some of their best players in order to meet their financial regulation. This has left the small clubs battling for relegation year in year out and has resulted in the disappearance of many teams to the lower tier leagues. A good example is Malaga CF, a Spanish club who was banned by UEFA in 2012 from participating in the UEFA Champions League for a period of 4 years because of unpaid players' wages, Malaga CF were forced to sell most of their key players in the subsequent years, today Malaga CF has been relegated to the 2nd tier La Liga division. Many clubs are helpless when it comes to the transfer of their players as the players' agents usually hijack the process.

Athletes are not exempted from some of the ill practices that have eaten deep into the system. Many young talented athletes watch before their eyes as their careers come to an end even before it has started due to lack of financial support and the environment they found themselves in. Fans are also at the receiving end, as it can be devastating watching their favorite club or athlete disappear from the sporting scene. Fans have no say in any of these since they are not allowed to provide any financial support to clubs and athletes, they only watch as their clubs succumb to the financial prowess of the bigger clubs. The current practices in the industry, fans purchase their favorite club and players’ jersey, buy tickets and travel across many nations to support their teams and favorite athletes, sadly there is no financial incentives for fans for their undying support for their clubs and athletes rather the clubs and sponsors receive all the financial benefits.

The Solution

All of these are about to change for the best thanks to Globaltalent, a fully decentralized platform where investors and fans can collectively take up the challenge and invest in their clubs and players. And subsequently earn returns from the athletes' image rights, players transfers, prize money, salaries, ticking, TV rights and so. Globaltalent platform will democratize the sports industry by taking the power which has been monopolized by the rich few who invest in the clubs and players and place this power in the hands of every sports-loving person out there irrespective of where one is from.
